Dream Team
Max Belcaro is a senior dog trainer and ten-year military veteran of the Marine Corps. He spent most of his time in service as a Special Operations Canine Handler conducting combat deployments overseas with his Military Working Dog, Dex, a Dutch Shepherd who served his country for 5 years before earning a happy retirement with Max.

Max spent nearly his entire military career involved in the training and behavior shaping of working dogs. When not training with Dex, Max dedicated his time to training other canine teams, growing his passion for helping others get the most out of their canines. ​
​
Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Max established Belcaro Canine LLC in order to use his skills and knowledge to help pet owners in his community. Belcaro Canine specializes in pet dog training and seeks to help owners unlock the joy of a well-behaved canine friend.

Max is also the Membership Coordinator at the United States War Dogs Association, which serves active and retired military working dogs and their handlers.
The Ideal Pet Dog
Max's canine companion Dex now leads the way in his "civilian" life by exemplifying the gold standard of canine discipline. Clients of Belcaro Canine will see Dex in action and surely marvel at his ability to walk at Max's side off-leash and many other feats. While Dex is undoubtedly a special animal, his stellar performance is a powerful testament to Max's skill as a canine trainer.
